Product Engineer (Defense)

Salary: $85,000–$115,000 Annually

What you will do

• Create detailed production assembly and test instructions, including Work Instructions and Acceptance Test Procedures.
• Evaluate and implement production equipment, such as assembly fixtures, tools, and flow-line systems.
• Ensure product integrity and quality by resolving production issues and performing Material Review Board (MRB) analyses.
• Track key performance metrics, including first pass yield and product cost goals.
• Facilitate design changes by redlining drawings and managing the engineering order (EO) process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, or systems engineering (or 10 years of relevant experience).
• 3 years of engineering experience within manufacturing environments.
• Must be able to work onsite in Salt Lake City, UT.
• Must have access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Nice to have

• Experience within the defense industry.
• Hands-on experience interacting with manufacturing shop floor personnel.
• Knowledge of Root Cause / Corrective Action, LEAN, and Project Planning.
• Practical familiarity with electrical systems, including wire harnesses and signal processing.
