TL;DR
Data Center Architect (Infrastructure): Leading the planning, design, and execution of large-scale data center migration and modernization projects with an accent on scalability, performance, and security. Location: Fully onsite in Hampton, VA at Joint Base Langley-Eustis
Salary: $120,000 - $130,000 Annually

What you will do
- Lead end-to-end data center migration strategies, including on-premises transitions, consolidations, and hybrid or cloud-adjacent migrations.
- Assess current environments, dependencies, and risks to create detailed migration roadmaps and execution plans.
- Architect target-state data center designs aligned with business objectives, security standards, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, storage, and security teams to coordinate and execute migration activities.
- Establish architectural frameworks and standards to support ongoing operations and future scalability.
- Oversee migration execution, including cutover planning, validation, and post-migration optimization.
Requirements
- TS/SCI Eligibility is required.
- DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND).
- 9+ years of experience in data center infrastructure, including compute, storage, and networking.
- Deep expertise in virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.
- Proficiency in designing and executing large-scale data center migrations and cloud-adjacent architectures.
- Experience with storage architectures (SAN, NAS, object storage) and advanced networking (routing, switching, firewalls).
Nice to have
- Experience with DOD Networks (NIPR, SIPR, JWICS).
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and provide mentorship.
- Experience working in fast-paced, transformation-driven environments.
