Location: Hybrid in Bellevue, Washington, United States

Salary: $119,300 – $215,000 per year

The Pokémon Company International manages the Pokémon brand outside of Asia, overseeing licensing, marketing, the Trading Card Game, and the animated series.

What you will do

  • Manage and develop a team responsible for the strategic execution of competitive products including TCG, VG, Pokémon UNITE, and Pokémon GO.
  • Oversee the global qualification process for multiple products across North America, Europe, Latin America, MESA, and Oceania.
  • Plan and allocate budgets in line with business priorities and develop quarterly/annual goals.
  • Manage live ops calendars and oversee the creation of prizing tables, digital rewards, and player incentives.
  • Partner with internal teams (Marketing, Legal, Broadcast) and external game developers to design the path to the World Championships.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external vendors on a global scale.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in esports, competitive gaming, events, or sports management.
  • 2+ years of people management experience managing direct reports.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Deep knowledge of competitive formats such as single/double elimination, swiss, and round robin.
  • Must be based in the USA for hybrid work in Bellevue, WA.
  • Ability to travel approximately 6-8 weeks per year.
