What you will do

• Manage healthcare intake processes, including claims management, benefits coordination, and prior authorization procedures.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls to healthcare providers and facilities.
• Process provider requests and act as a trusted source for UM Prior Auth programs.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including nurses, to resolve provider inquiries.
• Manage UM department mailboxes and assign faxes to designated staff.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare, insurance, or a related field.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Must be local to Detroit, MI.
• Strong understanding of health insurance processes and claims management.
• High school diploma.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or two years of college education.
• Experience providing high-quality, provider-focused servicing.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
