What you will do

• Manage referrals and confirm patient eligibility for services.
• Set up patient charts in Acumen and retrieve necessary medical records and demographics.
• Coordinate and schedule virtual appointments while ensuring telehealth functionality.
• Verify critical patient information including medications, allergies, and pharmacy details.
• Track and follow up on ordered lab work and confirm outbound referrals.
• Provide administrative and clinical support to Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• 2+ years of professional experience working as a Medical Assistant.
• Current, active Medical Assistant License or Certificate (e.g., CMA or CCMA).
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong proficiency in medical terminology and procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience within a nephrology medical practice.
• Hands-on experience with Acumen software.
• Associate’s degree in a medical field.
