What you will do

• Lead the full lifecycle design of security-focused products from early-stage concept through prototyping and mass production.
• Define overall product architecture and system-level design, aligning with performance, cost, and schedule targets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, firmware, and industrial design to analyze design tradeoffs.
• Oversee prototype development and design validation plans for electrical, RF, connectivity, audio, and imaging subsystems.
• Manage design execution and communication with global manufacturing partners.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers to help them advance their careers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience, with at least 6 years working on consumer products.
• Proven expertise in optimizing designs for battery operation with very low power usage.
• Experience in embedded systems design (UART, SPI, I2C, USB, Ethernet, SDIO, MIPI) and RF technologies (Sub-GHz, WiFi, BLE).
• Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid model in Boston, MA.
• Strong leadership, EQ, and communication skills for guiding cross-functional teams.
