What you will do

• Lead the electrical design and validation of plasma-based metrology systems.
• Develop high-voltage and mixed-signal electronics from concept through schematic capture, layout, bring-up, and integration.
• Collaborate with mechanical, systems, software, and algorithm engineers to ensure product scalability and reliability.
• Research and evaluate new architectures for advanced low-temperature plasma instrumentation.
• Iterate on designs based on real-world use cases and direct customer feedback.
• Create core technical documentation, including wiring diagrams and validation plans.

Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Proven expertise in high-voltage PCB design, specifically above 5 kV.
• Hands-on experience with the full PCB development cycle and mixed-signal circuitry.
• Knowledge of DfX practices, including DFM and DFT.
• Ability to work onsite in San Leandro, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience with electron optics, electron beam systems, or plasma systems.
• Familiarity with CE, UL, or other regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Experience with high-precision industrial sensors for metrology or automation.
