TL;DR

Strategic Sourcing & Category Manager (Engineering): Developing and executing procurement strategies for mechanical and electrical categories with an accent on cost reduction, supplier rationalization, and risk mitigation. Focus on managing multi-year savings pipelines, leading SRM activities, and aligning sourcing strategies with New Product Introduction (NPI) goals.

Location: Onsite in Atlanta, GA or Byhalia, MS

What you will do

  • Develop and execute sourcing and procurement strategies for mechanical and electrical categories to support manufacturing.
  • Lead RFQ/RFP/RFI processes and negotiate commercial terms to maximize ROI and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Drive Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities, including managing current savings and multi-year pipelines.
  • Review technical drawings and BOMs to make strategic sourcing decisions for new and existing products.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and Finance to align sourcing with NPI project goals.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective action and recovery plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
  • 10+ years of experience in sourcing and supplier relations.
  • Expert understanding of strategic sourcing best practices and the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach.
  • Proficiency in Oracle ERP and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLookup, macros).
  • Must be based in or able to work onsite in Atlanta, GA or Byhalia, MS.
