What you will do

• Develop institutional strategies for major provincial, federal, and international research funding opportunities.
• Assess strategic fit and institutional readiness for major research initiatives and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
• Coordinate university-wide responses to government consultations and federal policy initiatives.
• Prepare high-level briefing materials, white papers, and presentations for the Vice President Research & Innovation.
• Manage strategic relationships with government, funding agencies, and international partners, including the EU’s Horizon Europe program.
• Map research strengths to strategic opportunities to inform institutional positioning and external engagement.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 8 years of related professional experience.
• Experience supporting strategic research initiatives or major funding proposals within a large research-intensive university.
• Proven track record of engaging with government, funding agencies, and external partners.
• Ability to synthesize complex information into strategic briefings for senior leadership.
