Salary: $197,529 - $276,539 (WA applicants)

What you will do

• Design, implement, test, verify, and deploy mission operations software for ground systems supporting space missions.
• Collaborate with flight vehicle, mission control, and customer teams to define requirements, architectures, and designs.
• Develop prototypes to validate concepts and mitigate risks.
• Integrate components, run unit and system tests using simulators, and release certified code.
• Produce documentation including architecture, verification plans, user manuals, and training materials.
• Support update cycles, pre-flight testing, validation, operator training, and live mission operations.

Requirements

• B.S. or higher in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, aerospace engineering, or related field (or equivalent)
• 8+ years of software development experience across full lifecycle (design, requirements, implementation, verification, integration)
• Experience with software build automation, CI/CD, configuration management, verification, and deployment
• Skills in multiple languages, Linux/Unix administration
• Active Top Secret Clearance
• U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (Export Control Regulations)

• Experience with ground software for spaceflight operations
• Expertise in Python for complex applications
• REST, Kafka, gRPC, web/database development
• Infrastructure as Code and cloud technologies
• Telemetry processing, fault monitoring, mission planning
• Spacecraft subsystems knowledge
