Senior Automation Engineer

Senior Automation Engineer (Web/Mobile QA): Own end-to-end quality strategy across automation, functional, and performance testing for web and mobile applications with an accent on scalable frameworks, CI/CD integration, and cross-platform coverage. Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada. Must be legally authorized to work in Canada; no visa sponsorship.

Compensation: CAD 80,000 - 165,000 (listed as monthly); average base salary CAD 90,000 - 150,000

What you will do

• Own end-to-end testing strategy across automation, functional, and performance testing for web and mobile apps.
• Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web (Android & iOS).
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines with quality gates and fast feedback.
• Drive cross-browser, cross-device, accessibility, and mobile testing coverage.
• Enable performance testing strategy and execution.
• Mentor QA and engineering teams on frameworks, best practices, and testing maturity.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years in Software QA, 5+ years in web and mobile automation.
• Proficiency in Java or C#.
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright for web automation frameworks.
• Mobile app testing (functional, UI, compatibility).
• CI/CD, DevOps, GitHub/Azure repos, REST APIs (Postman).
• Cross-browser testing, cloud platforms like BrowserStack/LambdaTest.

Nice to have

• Cypress, Appium, or similar frameworks.
• JIRA, Confluence.
• Testing Centre of Excellence or Technical Lead experience.
• Experience with distributed global teams.
