Quality Reliability Engineer (Automotive)

What you will do

• Perform technical root cause analysis of failed diesel engines and components.
• Develop and administer reliability and warranty action plans and reports for senior management.
• Publish warranty investigation reports and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
• Develop test methodologies and apparatus for physical testing of warranty return parts.
• Monitor field effectiveness of countermeasures across dealerships and manufacturing.
• Maintain detailed logs of returned parts and track key claim information.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required; no immigration sponsorship (H-1B, TN, STEM OPT, etc.) is provided now or in the future.
• Experience with diesel engines and manufacturing warranty processes.
• Advanced MS Excel competency (pivot tables, database look up) and proficiency in MS Power App.
• Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis.
• Physical ability to bend, crawl, stand, and lift approximately 50 lbs for vehicle repair tasks.

• Mechanical skill in heavy diesel engine repair.
• Thorough understanding of manufacturer warranty evaluation rating processes and metrics.
