What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain developer-facing platforms and tools to reduce cognitive load for engineering teams.
• Develop and evolve platform capabilities, including CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Champion a developer-first mindset to continuously improve the organizational developer experience.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to implement the technical roadmap.
• Participate in a 24/7 follow-the-sun on-call rotation for production systems, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 1+ years of experience in software, platform, or developer experience engineering.
• Proficiency in at least one language: Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Experience with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Bitbucket Pipelines.
• Solid understanding of cloud computing and containerization (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker).
• Location: Must be based in Halifax, Canada

Nice to have

• Exposure to observability practices and tools (monitoring, logging, tracing).
• Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts like scalability and incident management.
• Experience with automated quality gates and source control workflows.
