What you will do

• Define the long-term architectural roadmap and maintain VM and Kubernetes infrastructure across GCP and AWS.
• Lead the strategic modernization of services, guiding development teams in transitioning from monoliths to decoupled microservices.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and TACOS tools like Spacelift.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Security teams on capacity planning, disaster recovery, and cloud-native system design.
• Build and manage comprehensive observability solutions using Grafana Cloud, Prometheus, and OTel collectors.
• Manage advanced networking components, including DNS automation and service mesh networking with Cilium.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 15+ years of progressive infrastructure engineering experience.
• Proven track record of guiding organizations through large-scale architectural transformations (monolith to microservices).
• Proficiency in Python, Go, and Bash.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes administration, GCP services (GKE, VPC, IAM), and Terraform.
• Must be based in Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience with GitOps methodologies and tools.
• Proficiency in using LLM code assist tools to accelerate software development.
