Electronics Design Engineer - Test Systems (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Design analogue and digital electronic solutions for hydro-mechanical and electromechanical test systems.
• Develop solutions through architecture, requirements definition, concept design, verification, validation, and final release.
• Apply safety and industry standards to the integration of electronic and electrical solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation and participate in reviews with peers and Chief Engineers.
• Support test equipment proposals, supplier relationships, internal stakeholders, and root cause investigations.
• Maintain health and safety practices and contribute to work-related risk assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related subject; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience developing electronic and electrical solutions for multi-axis, closed-loop, servo-hydraulic, and electromechanical test systems.
• Commercial experience designing complex analogue and digital electronics, particularly for closed-loop control and transducer conditioning.
• Experience with industrial machine design and manufacture, including safety-related equipment, PLCs, and motor drive systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting electronic and electrical issues from first principles.
• Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained.

Nice to have

• Recognised qualifications in safety-related directives and standards.
• Experience with eCAD, PCB software, LabView, DOORS, JIRA, MATLAB, or SubVersion.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, PC operating platforms, and low-level programming with C++ or Visual Basic.
