Senior Electrical Development Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

What you will do

• Design and implement ETCH semiconductor process equipment, including wiring harnesses, electrical systems, and some mechanical elements.
• Build and test prototypes, plan hardware validation, and characterise equipment performance.
• Test machines against international standards and support compliance activities.
• Perform PLC-related fault finding and optimise hardware reliability and process capability with process engineers.
• Support technology development from early concept through installation and commissioning at customer sites.
• Prepare technical reports and transition designs from development into production.

Requirements

• Experience designing, testing, and delivering electrical solutions.
• Experience with fault diagnosis and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
• Minimum HNC qualification in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field.
• Experience in a customer-facing engineering role and the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
• Understanding of machinery safety regulations and EU harmonised standards, including EN60204 and EN13849.
• Willingness to undertake occasional domestic and international travel, including travel to the United States.

Nice to have

• RF or plasma experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or an equivalent tool.
• 3D CAD experience.
