TL;DR

Comms Systems Engineer (Automotive): Developing and maintaining systems engineering processes and competence within a squad with an accent on requirements management and toolset optimization. Focus on shaping future product engineering, influencing business mindset, and implementing compliant system engineering practices.

Location: Hybrid (Gaydon/Warwick). Must have proof of immediate, on-going and valid eligibility to work full time and travel within the UK.

Salary: £33.88 per hour

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain systems engineering competence and processes within the squad.
  • Ensure authored requirements are robust and meet quality standards by developing methods and processes.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and process experts to develop compliant and efficient workflows.
  • Identify key performance indicators and measures for system engineering processes.
  • Guide domain product development by supporting product owners in understanding SE principles and practices.
  • Work with product owners to identify inputs for roadmaps regarding tools, training, and processes.

Requirements

  • Valid eligibility to work full time and travel within the UK.
  • Professional experience as a System Engineering practitioner across the full lifecycle in complex electrical, software, or mechatronic environments.
  • Experience applying SE tools and techniques within the automotive, aerospace, defence, or rail industries.
  • Significant experience with SE toolsets such as IBM DOORS, Rhapsody, or Catia Magic.
  • Extensive experience in requirements management practices aligned with SE processes.
  • Engineering degree (preferred).

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of system modelling, FMA, Cyber security, and Functional safety practices.
  • Experience influencing business mindset and managing complex process changes.
