TL;DR

Location: Irvine, CA
Salary: $112,300 – $166,280 per annum

What you will do
- Perform RTL-to-GDSII implementation, including synthesis, floorplanning, power grid design, place and route, and clock tree synthesis.
- Execute timing closure, power/signal integrity signoff, and physical verification (DRC/LVS).
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with design teams to influence architectural decisions and ensure project execution.
- Develop and adopt next-generation physical design methodologies, flows, and automation to improve productivity.
- Participate in the long-term vision for physical design capabilities in alignment with company technology strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 3-5 years of experience, or Master's/PhD with 2-3 years of experience.
- Progressive experience in back-end physical design and verification, including leadership roles.
- Experience in hierarchical physical design strategies and challenges associated with advanced process nodes.
- Strong knowledge of modern EDA tools and ASIC design flows.
- Must be eligible to access export-controlled information as defined under U.S. export control laws (EAR).
Nice to have
- Proficiency in automation and scripting using Python, Tcl, Makefile, or Perl.
- Experience with static timing analysis (PrimeTime, Tempus), EM/IR-Drop (Voltus, Redhawk), or physical verification (Calibre).
- Familiarity with AI/ML-driven optimization in physical design tools.
