What you will do

• Design and implement reliable autonomous software systems and simulations for precision validation.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle, from initial prototyping and testing to final mission-critical deployment.
• Perform hands-on integration and debugging of hardware/software systems across virtual, HIL, and VIL environments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop hypersonic missile capabilities, including guidance algorithms and seeker image processing.
• Lead major projects and travel to launch and customer sites for testing and operations.
• Continuously improve software standards and best practices within the engineering team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or a related STEM field.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in C++, Python, or Rust.
• Experience with Linux kernel development, including custom drivers for UART and I2C peripherals.
• Must meet U.S. Government export regulations (ITAR).

Nice to have

• Practical experience with real-time embedded systems or distributed computing in Linux-based environments.
• Proficiency in Bash scripting, network troubleshooting, and performance analysis tools like strace and ftrace.
• Deep understanding of computer architecture and networking protocols (TCP, UDP).
• Experience applying first-principles thinking to develop prototypes and quantify technical constraints.
