What you will do

• Deliver high-quality software as an individual contributor and mentor junior team members.
• Design and build robust, maintainable, and performant systems within complex codebases or distributed systems.
• Introduce improvements in architecture, build tooling, and development workflows.
• Solve open-ended technical problems with limited guidance and balance technical tradeoffs with business objectives.
• Lead technical discussions and produce clear design documentation to align stakeholders.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of embedded software development experience.
• 3–5 years of experience managing or leading a software development team.
• Proficiency in C++, C, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with RTOS environments (VxWorks, QNX, FreeRTOS) and Embedded Linux.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Angular and Qt/QML for UI development.
• Strong understanding of UDP/TCP protocols, multicast networking, and DDS (Data Distribution Service).
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools (Bamboo, Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitLab CI).
• Knowledge of DoD software assurance, RMF, STIG compliance, and experience leading teams within SCIF or SAPF facilities.
