What you will do

• Design and implement reliable autonomous software systems and the simulations required for validation.
• Manage the full software lifecycle from initial design and prototyping to deployment for mission-critical applications.
• Integrate and debug hardware/software systems using virtualized hardware, hardware-in-the-loop, and vehicle-in-the-loop testing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop hypersonic missile capabilities and guidance algorithms.
• Lead major technical projects and travel to launch and customer sites for operational testing.
• Continuously improve software standards and best practices within the engineering team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or a related STEM field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in C++, Python, or Rust.
• Experience with Linux kernel development and custom hardware drivers for UART and I2C peripherals.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident, Refugee, or Asylee to conform to ITAR regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time embedded systems or distributed computing in Linux-based systems.
• Experience developing C++ software for PowerPC, x86, or ARM processors.
• Proficiency in Bash scripting, network troubleshooting (TCP/UDP), and performance analysis tools (strace, ftrace).
• Strong first-principles thinking and ability to develop prototypes to validate design concepts.
