What you will do

• Own delivery outcomes by coordinating priorities and ensuring cross-functional teams meet commitments with reliable systems.
• Manage and develop people, including performance reviews, career development, and addressing performance concerns.
• Maintain strong engineering standards, architecture patterns, and quality while navigating technical trade-offs.
• Enable team execution by collaborating with Team Leads and Product Managers for clear initiative definitions.
• Continuously improve engineering effectiveness in planning, coordination, and delivery as the organization scales.
• Support system reliability through incident investigation, root cause analysis, and platform improvements.

Requirements

• Strong engineering background with extensive software development experience and deep backend expertise in Java ecosystem.
• System design experience with high-load systems, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Proven track record leading engineering teams, delivering complex production systems, and balancing technical and people leadership.
• Experience operating production systems, incident response, and post-incident improvements.
• Strong product sense to assess initiatives, identify engineering risks, and communicate trade-offs.
• Strong delivery ownership with realistic estimates, stakeholder alignment, and clear scope communication.

Nice to have

• Experience in iGaming or other high-load, real-time platforms.
• Transition from senior IC role like Tech Lead, Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, or Solution Architect.
• Familiarity with Java, Kafka, Kubernetes, or GCP.
• Experience in product companies or scale-ups.
