What you will do

• Lead architecture across core domains like distributed systems, streaming data pipelines, query engines, storage, and SaaS multi-tenancy.
• Anticipate needs, drive initiatives from design to delivery, and act as advisor to engineering, product, and executives.
• Translate product/business strategy into architectural decisions for performance, reliability, and efficiency at petabyte scale.
• Mentor engineers, elevate architectural quality, and shape architecture as a strategic asset.

Requirements

• Deep experience shaping large-scale data systems in production, including hyperscale analytics engines, databases, and streaming.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, failure modes, storage, query execution, streaming, and batch processing.
• Track record influencing engineering, product, and leadership with communication and people skills.
• Systems thinking integrating technology, product priorities, customer needs, and organizational dynamics.

Nice to have

• Previous R&D leadership experience.
• Active involvement in open-source projects as contributor or maintainer.
