What you will do

• Perform daily billing and follow-up activities to support the revenue cycle process for assigned locations.
• Document claims billed, paid, and settled in appropriate systems.
• Contact payers directly to resolve payment delays and investigate overpayments, underpayments, or credit balances.
• Research and correct claim rejections to ensure timely and accurate resolution.
• Communicate with hospital departments to obtain demographic, clinical, and insurance information to clarify discrepancies.
• Prepare special reports on claims billed, edited, or unprocessed as directed by supervision.

Requirements

• High School diploma.
• At least one (1) year of experience in revenue cycle functions within a hospital, clinic, or health insurance environment.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a potentially stressful environment.
