What you will do

• Prepare and re-submit clean claims to insurance companies electronically or by paper per payer guidelines.
• Analyze and correct rejected claims for resubmission.
• Perform primary and secondary billing claim status follow-ups for assigned plans.
• Review, evaluate, and process claim appeals with supporting documentation.
• Research account adjustments/write-offs and report billing trends to management.
• Generate patient statements, collect overdue payments, and handle patient inquiries.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in medical insurance claims billing preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Google apps.
• Strong math skills and ability to define problems, collect data, and identify trends.
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to work in a team or independently.
• Adhere to HIPAA, HR policies, and corporate procedures.
