What you will do
- Lead, mentor, and develop Zero Balance team, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning.
- Define and execute recovery strategies for large, complex claim inventories, driving efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Oversee team performance metrics, quality control, and adherence to workflows and compliance standards.
- Serve as subject matter expert in hospital reimbursement, coding (CPT, ICD-10), and payer behavior for escalated claims.
- Act as primary client contact, managing communications, escalations, and partnerships with internal stakeholders.
- Analyze data, implement action plans, and collaborate on tools and processes to enhance recovery rates and financial results.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associates/Bachelor’s and CRCR Certification preferred.
- 5+ years in healthcare zero balance, 5+ years client-facing/customer service, 2-5 years supervisory experience.
- 5+ years commercial/government billing and collections; proven hospital revenue cycle with zero balance recovery focus.
- Expert in payer/provider claims processing, contracts, coding (CPT, ICD-10, modifiers), payer portals, and revenue cycle tech.
- Strong MS Office proficiency; ability to manage multiple priorities, analyze data, and work independently.
- Timely attendance and ability to perform essential duties.
