What you will do

  • Lead a team of 4–5 engineers: hiring, growing, and coaching them.
  • Own the benefits platform at the core of patient bookings, provider payouts, and claims.
  • Co-own roadmap with product manager, setting priorities and pace.
  • Set technical standards, scoping processes, architectural decisions, incident response, and on-call practices.
  • Partner with leaders in claims, eligibility, billing, and payer partnerships.

Requirements

  • 5+ years as senior/staff engineer writing and shipping code; still hands-on with PRs, tech specs, design reviews.
  • Early in management: running small team or tech lead ready for bigger scope.
  • Experience building robust, leveraged systems other teams depend on.
  • Understand complex problems; build intelligent systems with AI/algorithms/rules.
  • Mission-driven; give direct, kind feedback.

Nice to have

  • Machine learning experience: eval loops, model rollout, production ML.
  • Healthcare, insurance, or claims domain knowledge.
  • Scaleup experience (Series B–D).
