What you will do

• Manage, mentor, and grow engineering team, fostering ownership, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee architectural decisions for document generation systems integrating with data science and clinical platforms.
• Own team roadmap, delivery commitments, and stakeholder communication on timelines and trade-offs.
• Drive compliance with healthcare regulations like HIPAA and champion engineering best practices including Shift Left, CI/CD, and security scanning.
• Improve developer experience through tooling, processes, local environments, and addressing bottlenecks.

Requirements

• 8+ years software engineering experience, 3+ years in engineering management or technical lead for backend/systems teams
• Strong backend architecture knowledge; fluency in Python-based services to review, guide, and hire.
• Experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB), serverless, and cloud-native architectures.
• Proven delivery in regulated industries (healthcare/finance preferred) with HIPAA, OWASP, NIST compliance.
• Track record driving engineering culture, CI/CD, testing standards, and developer experience.
• Ability to pass background check; must live in and be eligible to work in the United States
