What you will do

• Operate machine tools such as lathes, drill presses, milling machines, grinders, or special purpose equipment.
• Determine operational sequences and set tools, speeds, and feeds according to material and finish requirements.
• Read and interpret machining instructions, job orders, and blueprints to determine dimensional specifications.
• Verify conformance of machined work using calipers, micrometers, and fixed or telescoping gauges.
• Perform duties associated with receiving, routing, and storing materials.
• Ensure safety operating procedures are followed throughout all projects.

Requirements

• Ability to work from drawings, route sheets, specifications, and instructions.
• Proficiency in using measuring instruments for quality verification.
• Knowledge of metal properties and corresponding tooling requirements.
• Must be able to work onsite in Phillips, WI.
