Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)

Salary range: $183,000 - $276,000 total target cash (San Francisco Bay Area, inclusive of bonus or commission)

What you will do

• Take product ideas from ideation to implementation of highly reliable backend services.
• Optimize performance and scale of data ingestion and processing infrastructure for increasing volumes.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to iterate on core analytics features.
• Lead engineering discussions, design and code reviews, and advocate for best practices.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to team success.

Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related technical field
• 5+ years in Software Engineering, including 2+ years in Java
• Strong foundation in programming, algorithms, and software design
• Experience in distributed systems, data processing, and analytics
• Passion for data processing and solving challenging problems

Nice to have

• Experience leading or mentoring engineers
• Experience with real-time stream processing (e.g., Kafka)
