IT Business Analyst (ServiceNow)

IT Business Analyst (ServiceNow): Acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to define requirements and support the delivery of technology solutions with an accent on operational efficiency and strategic initiatives. Focus on utilizing the ServiceNow Demand Management module for project intake and leveraging Microsoft Copilot to optimize documentation and reporting.

Location: Hybrid/Onsite in Detroit, MI (Tuesday-Thursday attendance required)

What you will do

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business and system requirements.
• Analyze current business processes to identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and optimization.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for IT teams.
• Utilize the ServiceNow Demand Management module to intake, prioritize, and track project requests.
• Develop process flows, use cases, user stories, and business requirement documents (BRDs).
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Demand Management module.
• Experience using Microsoft Copilot or similar AI-assisted productivity tools.
• Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and documentation techniques.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work in Detroit, MI

Nice to have

• Experience in the energy or utilities industry.
• Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall project methodologies.
• Experience with data analysis tools like Power BI and advanced Excel.
• Professional certifications such as CBAP or PMI-PBA.
