Focus on modernizing tech ops reporting, defining standardized engineering KPIs, and translating complex data into actionable insights for the CTO and Finance teams.

Location: Hybrid or Remote (Lehi, Utah, United States)

Salary: $105,000 - $115,000

What you will do

• Act as the primary analytics partner for the CTO organization and Finance partners, focusing on engineering efficiency and cloud spend.
• Develop and maintain unit economics and efficiency metrics for public cloud usage (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Modernize legacy tech ops and engineering efficiency reports by migrating them to Snowflake and Power BI.
• Standardize engineering metrics such as velocity, throughput, capacity, and cycle time to create a single source of truth.
• Build Power BI dashboards and semantic models to provide actionable insights for executive audiences.
• Collaborate with BI developers to shift from report-based delivery to scalable data products.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on BI/analytics experience supporting senior stakeholders.
• Proficiency in SQL and strong experience with Power BI (DAX, semantic modeling, performance tuning).
• Working knowledge of modern cloud data stacks, specifically Snowflake.
• Solid understanding of dimensional modeling concepts (star schemas).
• Ability to utilize AI tools (Copilot, Claude, Cursor) to accelerate technical workflows and analysis.
• Strong communication skills for presenting data stories to executive audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience with public cloud spend analysis and FinOps concepts (unit economics, chargeback, rightsizing).
• Familiarity with engineering delivery metrics (DORA-style metrics).
• Experience working within a PE-backed or growth-stage SaaS company.
• Exposure to Jira, Azure DevOps, or GitHub as data sources.
