Salary: $130,000 – $180,000 + equity

What you will do

• Design and build complex, scalable data products using dbt, Snowflake, and Dagster.
• Translate ambiguous business requirements into structured, trustworthy data assets from design through deployment.
• Contribute to shared platform tooling to improve pipeline orchestration, testing, and observability.
• Evaluate and implement new platform capabilities such as Semantic Views, Cortex, or SnowML.
• Support teammates through onboarding, resolving data issues, and documenting best practices.
• Maintain reliability and data quality through monitoring, alerting, and test coverage.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data or analytics engineering roles, preferably with a modern data stack.
• Fluency in SQL for writing performant, modular transformations at scale.
• Working knowledge of Python for data orchestration, transformations, and testing.
• Strong understanding of data modeling tradeoffs (e.g., Kimball vs. OBT).
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be based in Austin, Chicago, DC, or NYC.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting machine learning workflows, including feature building and monitoring.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD for data), data governance, or FinOps.
• Experience in a fast-growing startup environment or platform-style teams.
