HIL Testing Engineer (Automotive)

What you will do

• Manage validation, integration, feasibility assessments, product launches, and the introduction of new electric and electronic vehicle functions.
• Lead root cause analysis for pre-series and production vehicles, including dynamic and static testing.
• Develop and execute testing plans for new hardware, software, and vehicle maturity phases.
• Evaluate supplier and developer solutions from prototype through final implementation, verifying hardware and software design changes.
• Install sensors and measurement equipment, configure data acquisition systems, and ensure CAN, LIN, and Ethernet connectivity.
• Conduct vehicle tests on specific roads and in climatic chambers, analyze results, and prepare reports in English or German.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Automotive, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Systems, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of automotive industry experience with measurement techniques and data acquisition.
• 3+ years of experience using measurement equipment such as data loggers and analyzing collected data.
• Experience with vehicle instrumentation, sensors, transducers, data logging systems, and communication protocols including CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
• Fluent English required; German is desirable.
• 18-month contract.
