What you will do
- Design, develop, test, and validate integration and automation features for SEL products.
- Support communication protocols, automation functions, and system integrations for electric power applications.
- Develop and execute test plans, simulations, and laboratory evaluations.
- Verify product functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Apply engineering, modeling, and analytical methods to improve protection, communication, and automation solutions.
- Document technical information through test reports, presentations, and technical discussions.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Nice to have
- Academic or professional experience in electric power systems, communications, controls, automation, or related disciplines.
- Knowledge of SEL products and protocols.
- Knowledge of SCADA protocols including IEC 61850, DNP3, and Modbus.
- Knowledge of automation protocols including IEC 6150 GOOSE, IEC 61850 Sampled Values, PRP, and HSR.
- Knowledge of time synchronization protocols including IEEE 1588 PTP, IRIG-B, and SNTP, plus power system protection principles.
