Electrical Engineer (Power Distribution)

TL;DR

Electrical Engineer (Power Distribution): Designing, developing, and validating Static Transfer Switch (STS) and Power Distribution Unit (PDU) 3-phase power products with an accent on industry standards compliance and system reliability. Focus on developing control system designs, circuit breaker coordination schemes, and executing comprehensive test plans for thermal and EMI performance.

Location: Onsite in Delaware, OH. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship will not be provided.

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of STS and PDU 3-phase power products ensuring compliance with UL, IEC, and NEC standards.
• Translate technical requirements into detailed engineering specifications and site planning data, including power layouts and cable sizing.
• Specify circuit breakers and develop coordination schemes to optimize protection and reliability in power distribution systems.
• Develop control system designs and schematics by integrating digital and analog controls for monitoring and management.
• Execute validation test plans for thermal performance, electromagnetic interference (EMI), and fault withstand performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and firmware developers, to ensure seamless product integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's Degree is a plus).
• 3+ years of experience in product development and testing.
• Deep understanding of industry standards including UL, IEC, and NEC.
• Legally authorized to work in the US; no sponsorship (E, F-1, H-1, etc.) available.
• Ability to work in a power test lab environment and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong technical communication skills.
