TL;DR

What you will do
- Lead the commissioning of transmission substation equipment to ensure compliance with project contracts and specifications.
- Manage commissioning schedules and proactively plan for major milestones and turnover to the client.
- Perform detailed system walk-downs and reviews to identify and resolve outstanding items.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in protection system design, settings, and NERC CIP ESP security zone commissioning.
- Review and approve relay calibration results and AC acceptance load checks.
- Provide post-commissioning review of technical documentation, checklists, and test reports.
Requirements
- OSHA 10 Hour Training certification is required.
- Proven expertise in Protection System design, installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Ability to perform hard physical labor in extreme temperatures (above 90°F or below 32°F) for up to 12-hour shifts.
- Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and climb steel frameworks, ladders, and scaffolds.
- Must be able to complete pre-employment background checks, drug screens, and motor vehicle records search.
Nice to have
- NICET or NETA Certification.
- 8+ years of relevant startup experience.
- Duke Energy system certification or previous experience.
