What you will do
- Solve fundamental research problems in large-scale 3D dynamic scene reconstruction and synthesis using generative models.
- Advance, adapt, and scale ML-based reconstruction methods, such as 3D Gaussian Splatting, for AV simulation.
- Prototype and iterate on research ideas utilizing internal driving data.
- Scale and productionize simulation solutions in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Present research findings internally and publish results to the broader research community.
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or a similar discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in a related field.
- In-depth expertise with 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) and/or other learning-based 3D reconstruction methods.
- Experience with generative image, video, or world models.
- Strong ML software engineering skills in Python for rapid prototyping.
- Familiarity with major ML frameworks (JAX, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Must be based in one of the specified US locations: Mountain View, San Francisco, New York City, or Kirkland.
Nice to have
- Publications at top-tier conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICLR, ICML, or NeurIPS.
- Experience productionizing and scaling ML solutions beyond the research stage.
- Fundamentals in 3D vision and/or computer graphics.
- Domain experience in autonomous vehicles or simulation space.
