TL;DR

Project Specialist (Workforce Development): Managing large, complex federal projects to broaden workforce opportunities and improve talent pipelines with an accent on registered apprenticeship and economic mobility. Focus on implementing change management strategies, strategic planning, and ensuring the sustainability of work-based learning models.

Location: Remote within the United States or hybrid from office locations (Arlington, Chapel Hill, Chicago, Sacramento, Austin)

Salary: $106,000 - $120,000 USD per year

What you will do

  • Develop detailed workplans and execute updates to project tasks.
  • Manage, monitor, and track project tasks using standard workflows and templates.
  • Delegate work to staff to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Manage internal and client-facing reporting requirements.
  • Analyze project management data and synthesize findings into reports.
  • Track project benchmarks and recommend necessary changes.

Requirements

  • Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis (no visa sponsorship available).
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience OR Master’s degree (MBA/MPA) with 4+ years of experience in public policy, economics, education, psychology, political science, or communications.
  • 4+ years of experience in project management, data analysis, and staffing processes.
  • Experience with Registered Apprenticeship systems and large-scale expansion.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills for virtual collaboration.

Nice to have

  • PMP Certification.
