What you will do

• Retrieve blood specimens via venipuncture and finger sticks while maintaining specimen integrity and aseptic technique.
• Verify test requisitions and patient identification to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform screening procedures and maintain detailed quality-control logs.
• Manage logistical printing of patient reports and triage billing questions.
• Coordinate courier services for specimen transport via FedEx or Medspeed.
• Ensure a safe work environment compliant with legal regulations and JCAHO standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy Certificate (as required by State).
• Ability to adhere to professional standards, hospital policies, and federal/state requirements.
