What you will do

• Perform venipunctures and finger sticks to obtain blood specimens from patients.
• Verify test requisitions and patient identification to ensure sample accuracy.
• Maintain specimen integrity using aseptic techniques and strict isolation procedures.
• Handle logistical management, including printing patient reports and scheduling courier pickups via FedEx or Medspeed.
• Triage and answer billing questions for patients.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by complying with legal regulations and JCAHO standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy Certificate (if required by State).
• Must be based in Hickory, NC (this position is not remote).
• Ability to handle PHI and complete mandatory HIPAA/PHI privacy training.
