What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including clinical study, material transfer, license, and vendor agreements.
• Perform legal review and approval of clinical study consent forms and marketing materials.
• Provide legal strategy and advice on international operations and GDPR compliance.
• Manage heavy workflows and contribute to the Legal Department’s contract negotiation playbook.
• Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA/PHI privacy standards and internal legal policies.

Requirements

• JD degree from a top-tier law school.
• 5+ years of experience as an attorney in commercial contracts and general corporate practice.
• 3+ years of experience working in a major law firm.
• Experience advising clients within the biotech, life science, or healthcare industries.
• Member of the California Bar or eligible to register as Registered In-House Counsel.
• Must be based in the United States.
