Salary: $125,000-140,000 USD per year (San Diego, CA)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and apply signal/information processing, machine learning, and advanced software to support mission objectives.
• Research, develop, and transition AI/ML-enabled software into fielded signal processing systems.
• Lead hands-on design, implementation, integration, and lifecycle management of production-level AI/ML solutions.
• Apply mathematical, engineering, and signal processing expertise to create automation algorithms, display systems, and OMI software.
• Contribute to large-scale software integration across multiple teams.

Requirements

• US Citizen with Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain)
• B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related; advanced degree preferred
• 5–7+ years of progressive engineering experience (10+ desirable for senior roles)
• Strong proficiency in Unix/Linux and programming in C, MATLAB, Python, and/or TensorFlow
• Demonstrated experience in AI/ML system research, development, validation, deployment, and sustainment
• Expertise in software debugging, testing, verification, performance analysis, and real-time data evaluation
• Experience supporting Navy sonar systems (e.g., SQQ-89, IUSS, SURTASS) or government programs preferred

Nice to have

• Experience with C++, Java, Unity, Godot, and related frameworks
