What you will do

• Define and execute the enterprise laboratory informatics strategy for sample accessioning, order management, and workflow orchestration.
• Lead the modernization of homegrown informatics platforms through architectural redesign and technology standardization.
• Drive strategic build-vs-buy decisions, including vendor evaluation and platform selection.
• Scale and mentor a high-performing organization of approximately 200 professionals across distributed teams.
• Ensure informatics platforms meet strict regulatory and quality requirements, including CLIA, CAP, HIPAA, and FDA standards.
• Partner with executive leadership to translate complex scientific and operational needs into scalable software solutions.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive experience in laboratory informatics, enterprise software platforms, or large-scale systems in regulated environments.
• Proven success leading complex organizations of 100+ people at a VP or equivalent senior leadership level.
• Deep understanding of wet-lab and dry-lab orchestration and sample tracking workflows.
• Experience modernizing legacy or homegrown platforms and driving major architectural transformations.
• Must be based in the USA.
• Strong executive presence and ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting CLIA- and CAP-certified clinical laboratories.
• Familiarity with FDA-regulated diagnostics and LDTs.
• Background in genomics, oncology diagnostics, or other high-throughput laboratory environments.
• Hands-on experience with Computer System Validation (CSV) and audit readiness.
