Location: Remote (USA) with periodic travel to San Carlos, CA and Austin, TX
Salary: $239,800 – $299,700 USD

What you will do
- Define and execute the enterprise laboratory informatics strategy for sample accessioning, order management, and workflow orchestration.
- Lead the modernization of homegrown informatics platforms through architectural redesign and technology standardization.
- Drive strategic build-vs-buy decisions, including vendor evaluation and platform selection.
- Scale and mentor a high-performing organization of approximately 200 professionals across distributed teams.
- Ensure informatics platforms meet strict regulatory and quality requirements, including CLIA, CAP, HIPAA, and FDA standards.
- Partner with executive leadership to translate complex scientific and operational needs into scalable software solutions.
Requirements
- 15+ years of progressive experience in laboratory informatics, enterprise software platforms, or large-scale systems in regulated environments.
- Proven success leading complex organizations of 100+ people at a VP or equivalent senior leadership level.
- Deep understanding of wet-lab and dry-lab orchestration and sample tracking workflows.
- Experience modernizing legacy or homegrown platforms and driving major architectural transformations.
- Must be based in the USA.
- Strong executive presence and ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting CLIA- and CAP-certified clinical laboratories.
- Familiarity with FDA-regulated diagnostics and LDTs.
- Background in genomics, oncology diagnostics, or other high-throughput laboratory environments.
- Hands-on experience with Computer System Validation (CSV) and audit readiness.
