Designer (Engineering)

TL;DR

Designer (Engineering): Developing construction documents and Revit models for technology systems with an accent on coordination, documentation, and discipline fundamentals. Focus on preparing Revit models, updating drawings, and ensuring spatial coordination within architectural and MEP environments.

Location: Remote (US), with approximately 25% of work performed at client sites

Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 a year

What you will do

• Prepare and update Revit models, sheets, and markups aligned with engineering direction.
• Support coordinated project delivery across various technology disciplines.
• Document design updates and decisions in project tools.
• Assist with reports, calculations, and basic clash detection under guidance.
• Perform site visits and existing conditions verification alongside senior team members.
• Implement redlines and production tasks provided by senior engineers.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering (Electrical preferred), Architecture, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in the AEC industry or technology systems.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship provided).
• Exposure to Revit, AutoCAD, or other drafting/modeling tools.
• Strong organizational and communication skills for tracking tasks and collaboration.

Nice to have

• Exposure to BIM coordination concepts (model linking, worksets, clash identification).
• Familiarity with Navisworks and BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Industry certifications such as EIT, CDT, or introductory Revit/BIM certifications.
