Director, Site Reliability Engineering

TL;DR

Director, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE): Lead globally distributed SRE teams responsible for mission-critical production infrastructure and SLOs with an accent on incident/change management, operational excellence, and infrastructure scalability. Focus on driving strategic initiatives for process improvement, performance measurement, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering and support teams.

Location: Remote - Continental USA only

Salary: $200,000 - $255,000

What you will do

• Lead a global team of 15+ SREs providing 24/7 production services, owning incident/change management, and maintaining the single source of truth for production state.
• Drive strategic initiatives to evolve production support, asset management, and continuous improvement using operational data.
• Manage department budget, OKRs, vendor contracts, and infrastructure demand forecasts/expansion decisions.
• Recruit, coach, and mentor team members while building cross-functional relationships with Infrastructure Engineering, Customer Support, and Data Center Operations.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain for inventory and Customer Support for world-class service delivery.

Requirements

• Remote - Continental USA OK, with experience managing remotely; ability to travel domestically/internationally
• Proven leadership in MSP or IaaS, with 6+ years management (3+ at Director level) and 5+ years hands-on in cloud-scale data centers/global infrastructure.
• Excellent collaboration/communication for high-performing teams and data-driven decision-making.
• Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and passion for process improvement/project management at scale.
• Experience managing mission-critical operations and complex global infrastructure.
