IT Infrastructure & Operations, Associate Director (Observability): Leading the strategy, architecture, and implementation of modern observability practices across IT infrastructure and applications with an accent on AI-driven observability, AIOps, and system reliability. Focus on building scalable operational solutions, reducing MTTD/MTTR, and managing a team of observability engineers.
Location: Hybrid (8 days/month in closest USA office). Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Salary: $122,300 - $218,550 USD

What you will do
- Lead and mentor a team of monitoring and observability engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and innovation.
- Define and drive an enterprise-wide observability strategy incorporating telemetry (metrics, logs, traces), AI/AIOps, and reliability engineering.
- Oversee the implementation and scaling of platforms such as Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, and OpenTelemetry.
- Champion AI-driven analytics, including anomaly detection, predictive alerting, and intelligent root-cause analysis.
- Partner with DevOps, platform, security, and incident response teams to embed observability into CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage vendor relationships and tool roadmaps to maximize the value of observability investments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of technical leadership experience in observability and monitoring strategy.
- 2+ years of experience as a people manager with accountability for approximately 6 direct reports.
- Experience applying AIOps, machine learning, or advanced analytics to improve signal quality and detection.
- Strong background in SRE, incident management, and reliability frameworks.
- Hands-on and architectural proficiency with monitoring and ITSM platforms.
- Legal authorization to work in the US without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
