• Own the strategy for continuous deployment and redefine engineering workflows to ensure shipping feels safe and normal.
• Define and evolve "safe to ship" criteria and systems as AI-assisted development accelerates change volume.
• Implement automated canary analysis, smarter CI gates, and enhanced observability to catch defects before they reach customers.
• Standardize the developer experience by creating better defaults and tooling to make the safe path the easiest path.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proven track record of owning and building deploy pipelines, CI/CD systems, or release infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with multi-regional applications, background jobs, and database migrations at scale.
• Proactive approach to solving complex infrastructure problems without needing detailed direction.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with progressive delivery tools like Kubernetes, Argo Rollouts, LaunchDarkly, or Statsig.
• Background in SRE, incident response, or post-mortem analysis.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and their associated safety challenges.
