What you will do

• Manage large-scale project execution, monitoring, reporting, and milestone achievement for critical raw material analytics platform.
• Liaise with mining industry, government partners, and indigenous groups to build partnerships and track business expenditures in R&D.
• Develop analytical methodologies for time-of-flight ICP-MS with excimer laser for high-resolution geochemical imaging of geological samples.
• Prepare progress reports, funding applications, and research documents while ensuring compliance with hirify.global policies and funder requirements.
• Coordinate meetings, track HQP training outcomes, and represent the lab at industry events like PDAC and AME Roundup.
• Support research communication, outreach, and new partnership development to enhance facility reputation and collaborations.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in relevant discipline with minimum three years related experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies, financial administration, budget development, and Canadian funding agencies.
• Experience coordinating research projects, building collaborative teams, and developing multi-disciplinary proposals.
• Strong communication, negotiation, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure, work independently, and resolve complex problems.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and respecting diverse perspectives.

Nice to have

• Postgraduate degree (PhD) in Earth Sciences.
• Project Management Professional designation.
• Grant writing experience and knowledge of granting procedures.
• Experience maintaining senior-level relationships with industry, academia, and government.
