What you will do

• Lead the development and implementation of external partnerships strategy aligned with university policies and innovation priorities.
• Manage the full lifecycle of industry and government partnerships, from initial engagement through negotiation to ongoing stewardship.
• Drive high-value strategic initiatives involving consortia and public-private innovation models to amplify research impact.
• Manage and develop a team of Partnership Managers, including recruitment, goal setting, and performance evaluation.
• Negotiate and execute complex multi-party collaborative agreements, balancing legal, financial, and academic considerations.
• Represent the university in national and international forums focused on university-industry collaboration.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of ten years of experience in sponsored research and technology transfer.
• Several years of experience in a management position.
• Commitment to enhancing awareness and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Nice to have

• Graduate degree in science, engineering, business, or law.
• Experience with Canadian and international innovation funding programs.
• Proven negotiation and agreement development skills.
• Working knowledge of intellectual property, commercialization, and public-private partnership models.
